I was born in Taumarunui, heart of the King Country, My tribal affilliations are Te Atihaununui Apaparangi, Ngapuhi and Ngati Porou....

I left New Zealand when I was 17 to make a new life for myself - being the independent person I was and still am.
I started a career in Electronics where I performed mostly Team leadership roles in the production assembly lines. The highlight of these 15 years with this company being 3 years Installing and commissioning Radio Base Equipment (Mobile telephone sites) nation wide with a short stint in Taiwan.....Over the past 10 years I have been working in various electronic companies that included Car manufacturing, Eftpos Engineering and Digital Video Surveillance Equipment which was another highlight in my career working closely with the engineering department for 3 years on prototype equipment used in the public sector world wide.

My reasons for committing to this kaupapa is simple.... to have a place in which our kids mokopuna and future generations, can learn, teach, help one another and share our rich culture to the world with their heads held high......(Be there or be square)
